Briefly Explaining the Knuckle Knife

Knuckle knife is also called brass knuckle knife. As the name suggests, it is a combination of brass knuckles and a knife. A blade is attached to a knuckle duster. 

You are able to wear the knuckle duster and use the blade for any purpose you want. This is a different type of knife, but has made a lot of impact. 

Today, I am here to explain this incredible knife to the beginners. So, here is a brief explanation of knuckle knife:

History of Knuckle Knife

Knuckle knife was formerly known as trench knife. Let me take you back to the First World War. During this war, this incredible knife was first used. 

It was then known as a trench knife because the soldiers who used it were battling in the trenches. These knives were specifically made for these soldiers. They needed such a weapon that is handy in close quarter combat. 

The advantage of this knife was that warriors could wear it around their knuckles. This made it impossible to disarm them. Therefore, they could use it to fight their enemies. 

Since then it was used as a primary fighting weapon. Later in the Second World War, it became a secondary fighting weapon, but was still used for warfare. Today, it is being used as a self defense weapon and a cosplay weapon. Following are the two types of knuckle knife. 

Types of Knuckle Knife

- Fixed Blade Knuckle Knife

The first type of knuckle knife is the original version. It is similar to the traditional trench knife. It has a fixed blade. There is a knuckle duster, and a blade is attached to it. But, this blade is immovable or fixed. The shape or type of blade differentiates the two types of knuckle knife.

- Folding Knuckle Knife

The folding knuckle knife is a modern version of this knife. It has a blade that is movable. In other words, it is a folding blade. The shape of the weapon is similar. However, the blade can be folded into the knuckles. This version of this knife is easier to carry, thanks to the foldable blade. 

Uses of Knuckle Knife

- Self Defense

The main use of this knife is self defense. In fact, it is an extremely effective self defense weapon. It allows you to use two weapons to your advantage. 

You can use the knuckles to punch the attacker to knock him down. Also, you can use the blade to inflict severe injuries to him. This is a deadly combination which ensures your survival against the attacker. 

- Cosplay

Knuckle knife is also used as a cosplay weapon, but the ancient trench knife version. It is used to replicate what happened during the First World War. Also, it is a nice collectible for some crazy enthusiasts.
